Chateau Cantenac Brown
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Reticent nose, with evident oak and black fruits. Quite rich, compact and restrained, firm tannins and not very expressive fruit at present. It’s quite closed and seems to lack some zest and excitement. Solid and certainly concentrated, it’s also rather dogged. Quite good length.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Ripe black fruits, a little one-dimensional on the nose.Tannins and acidity very prominent on the palate; not enough weight of ripe fruit to create the necessary balance. A touch hard at the finish.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Deep, rather subdued black berry fruits, quite robust and broad, quite leathery and actually a little hard on the finish, a big, robust wine, but lacking in elegance.
