Caseys Road Vineyard
Manufacturer:
Peter McCombie MW
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Open, broad shouldered, a touch hot and baked on finish.
Christine Parkinson
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Very fragrant: peony and rhubarb aromas. Ripe and sweet fruit on palate: juicy strawberries and blueberries, but also a grassy, slightly green note. Nettles. Oak adds a dark layer of flavour and firmness to the tannins which are moderate but angular. Mid-length.
Joanna Simon
Tasting: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Aromatic, very ripe, black cherry aromas with hints of sandalwood. Concentrated, spicy-peppery black cherry fruit on palate. Full and generous, but chewy and slightly hot and tarry.
