Charmes
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Surprisingly neutral nose, though there is some discernible oak. Good attack, lean and taut, concentrated, with a light phenolic tone that adds complexity, appley and vibrant. Good length, with an invigorating sweet and sour finish.
Gearoid Devaney
Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Tight on the nose. The palate is more open, with exotic fruits and a slight coconut flavour, maybe from the oak. The acid is medium and the length is medium.
Steven Spurrier
Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010
Very ripe and quite succulent on the palate with good acidity to back it up. A broadly flavoured, quite structured wine, with a bit more weight than finesse.
