Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Heavily oaked nose swamps the fruit. Rich, broad, full-bodied, spicy, a touch phenolic and hot. Atypical Perrieres and lacks minerality, and finesse. It’s a bit clumsy and drab on the finish. Moderate length.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

The nose has stone fruits and minerals but oak is very present. The palate is dry and has stony minerals, the oak is dominating the fruit altough it is starting to get a creamy edge, and it has a good length, and could improve once the oak settles down.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Rich yellow fruits and a natural sweetness plus acidity that is attractive, plus the stony aspect of Perrieres. Good but rather broad and four-square fruit, will mature well but always be a bit broad.
