Block 8
Manufacturer:
Andrew Jefford
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Pale gold. Back to those scents of jonquil and hyacinth that you find in many Australian Chardonnays, though I have never been able to find a precise cause. (It doesn’t seem to be yeast.) Intense, with prominent acidity and suble oaking. Lean but compelling.

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Big savoury nose, hoping this would have eased off after 3 years, full of savoury spice, intense acidity breaks through the textures of this wine, lots of toasty flavours, not sure – everything bouncing around.
Alessandro Marchesan
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Complex toasty, yeasty nose with elegant ripe red citrus fruit character. Rich and generous with ripe fruit and spikey acidity. Long blood orange like aftertaste and very well integrated oak.
