San Giuseppe
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Seductive nose of exotic spices combined with liquorice and wild berries. Palate is well balanced with ripe tannins, sweet berries and long aftertaste. Elegant and well balanced.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Dense blackberry. Butterscotch and spice over black and blue fruit aromas. Fresh ripe and balanced with good acidity though alcohol comes through strongly on the finish. Could develop.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Deep ruby. Refined nose of cinnamon plums and redcurrants. Then tight and austere with refined flavours like the aromas of redcurrant, red cherries and herbs. Finishes saline and slightly bitter, but this is a very well made wine that will undoubtedly gain in complexity and flesh with age and its oak resolving.
