Cascina Cucco
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Pure and vibrant wild berries notes, followed by fresh violets. The palate is really generous with lots of red fruits intertwined with spices. feels very frank with vibrant acidity and good length. Well balanced and well crafted.

Mid plum ruby. Fragrant cherries with hints of chocolate and cedar. Round and q full though a little soft-centred. Quite pretty flavours though alcohol intrudes on the finish.

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Ruby-purple. The aromas of spicy red berries and cherries are a little blunted by the alcohol, which isn’t as obtrusive as the 14.5% would indicate, however. Sweet and suave on entry, then peppery and with oaky, chewy tannins lingering at the back, which does feature a twinge of heat. Could use a little more sweetness of fruit rather than spicy oak.
