Carolina, Superiore
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Sweet spices like cinnamon and vanilla. Lots of complex layers of dark intense red fruits combined with rich plump cherry and violets aromas. Big and chunky.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very deep red. Charred, tarry nose. Very rich, broad and sumptuous, but rather heavy and lacking in finesse. Concentrated but effortful. Has ample acidity but it’s quite raw. Fairly good length.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Bright red. Very aromatic raspberry red cherry and sweet spices with hints of clove and bay leaf. Long and smooth with hints of cocoa and coffee.
