Manzone Giovanni
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Violets and sour cherries. savoury notes followed by rustic tannins. earthy and meaty mid palate. well balanced with lots of ripe red forest fruits and invigorating fresh acidity.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very deep red. Rather herbaceous nose, though not unpleasant. Sleek, juicy, red fruits, riper than the nose suggests, quite concentrated, with fairly sharp acidity. It’s not harmonious and has an edgy finish.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Ruby-purple. Very spicy black plum, dark red cherry and tarry aromas on the captivating nose. Then dense and big, with vibrant acids lifting the ripe fruit nicely delineating the tannins at the back. Lovely wine.
