Paolo Scavino
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Very intense dark and concentrated cherry and blackberry compote. Big and structured with lots of complex flavours. could do with a bit more acidity and less alcohol but overall has enough charm. Very new world.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Dense, bright blackberry. Full and intense with woody and minty notes over youthful, berry fruit aromas. Full and intense with concentrated plum and cherry fruit flavours. Reasonable balance but finishes rather short with high alcohols.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Deep purple with inky tinges. Brooding nose of Then deep, dense and suave, with luscious black cherry, dark plum and peppery cocoa flavours that last and last. Polished tannins and lively acids nicely support the flavours. Still young but with years of development ahead.
