Bricco Cichetta, Superiore
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Complex and rich nose of undergrowing forest and mineral. Firm gripping tannins with lots of dark spices at the end. Rich and serious, it shows great personality and structure.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Opaque red. Rather cooked oaky nose, plums and blackberries. Plump and rounded, fleshy and weighty, concentrated and firm, with robust but ripe tannins balanced by good acidity. Long sleek finish.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Deep ruby. Closed nose of dark fruit and coffee. then fresh and long but almost monolithic in its flavour profile and a ton of oak. Give it time, but is there enough fruit here to stand up to the oak? I-m not so sure.
