Bricco Airoli, Superiore
Manufacturer:
Andrea Bricarello
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Meaty and fruity notes followed by a spiced core with lots of pepper and sour cherries character. The body is elegant with well balanced acidity and round polished tannins.
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Opaque red. Curiously glassy red-fruits nose. Rich, firm, compact and concentrated, with good acidity to lift the palate. Quite skeletal now and needs time to flesh out, but the wine seems complete and long, with a surprisingly tannic finish.
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Barbera d’Alba
Deep ruby. Oaky nose offers hints of faint red and black cherry and plums. Then more oak and ripe black fruit with youthfully chewy tannins on the palate. Needs time to resolve the oak but there’s plenty of fruit.
