Porongurup
Manufacturer:
Andrew Jefford
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Pale gold. Delicate, shy aromatic profile, but classy: cooler citrus and early summer stonefruit given sensitive handling and creamy fermentation. The palate is much as the nose suggested: a classy but very restrained wine. Would a little more ripeness have brought it out further? Not convinced in this case.

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Delicate on the palate with a fresh instant hit on the palate then a secondary richness evolves – custard tart, and some fresh acidity, lingers.
Alessandro Marchesan
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Elegant but restrained nose, light red citrus fruit character on the palate (mandarin/grapefruit), light bodied and crisp with med-long aftertaste.
