Clos les Cornirets
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Ripe juicy blackberry nose. Ripe, generous, full-bodied, concentrated and tannic, oaky and chocolaty, works hard to impress and largely succeeds. Just lacks some pep and vigour, though it’s quite long.
Simon Field MW
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Subtle nose of hedgerow with hints of incense and iodine; the palate is agreeably broad-shouldered, youthfully assertive with a fragrant backdrop from the Forest of Arden, or maybe a few degrees further south!
John Livingstone-Learmonth
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Oak lies on outside of nose, gives it a caramel side; its fruit is subdued, secondary. Palate a mixed bag, oak and fruit not fused, oak is the last, dry impact. The fruit is a bit stretched. Needs the help of time.
