Les Pontaix
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Opulent black fruits nose. Rich, fruity, and plump, very concentrated, has assertive tannins and marked acidity, yet lacks some drive and persistence. All on the surface. A bit extracted & dogged. Quite long.

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Nose a shade reduced, a little raw; behind that fig, gunflint and hedgerow notes. Palate is also raw, with the tannins quite chewy and the fruit somewhat undermined in their train. A touch of volatile acidity also undermines the ensemble.

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Smoky, dusty, liquorice, stewed fruits air, toffee, raisin, the fruit ripe, also. Starts on a squeezy texture, black fruit coulis style, with thickening from tannin and extra grain towards end. A bit flat, lacks lift, shade dry at end.
