Le Grand Courtil
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Dense black cherry nose, some oak evident. Rich, suave, full-bodied, concentrated, tannic without seeming extracted, moderate acidity so not very lifted, but compact and weighty. Quite long.
Simon Field MW
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Forthright rather oaky nose; palate is an exercise in dissimulation, with the carpenter hitherto successfully hiding the talents of the vigneron.
John Livingstone-Learmonth
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Mottled dark red; sweet, plump, spice noted air, charcoal, acetate hint. Palate drinks now, not a long horizon wine, a bit tarty, but OK. Black fruit pastille aftertaste. Bit empty finale. Ordinary. Oak traces at end.
