Les Fees Brunes
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Closed nose. Broad and suave, plump, almost creamy, has some weight and concentration. Spicy and lively. Solid and structured, with ripe tannins. Quite long but lacks some drive.
Simon Field MW
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Deep colour, commanding attention; then a powerful savoury nose, with violets and wood smoke leading the charge; the palate maintains the floral tribute, rounding it out with ripe red and black berried fruit, very finely etched tannins.
John Livingstone-Learmonth
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Spritz; oak firmness backdrop in a tight-knit black fruit nose, grain, dust also. The palate is stiff from its oak, with a smoky tenor, the fruit needs to soften and absorb its oak. Fair quality.
