Nouvelere

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Brooding meaty nose, perhaps a trace of brett but perfectly acceptable. Hefty, plump, and quite powerful, with a slight sweetness (perhaps from alcohol) which is a bit disconcerting. Ample tannic structure but little finesse here. Tastes more New World than N Rhone. Long but overbearing.

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Deep colour, slightly mute nose; palate on the contrary is broad but a little disjointed and not quite as clean as one may ultimately wish.
John Livingstone-Learmonth
Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010
Blackcurrant-liquorice mix on the nose – a salted tang in the oak, and chocolate in its effect. The palate hesitates as it starts, with a drift of grainy, almost chalky tannin towards the finish. Assembled in the cellar, needs 18 months to get clear of that major influence. Nutty, cocoa ending.
