Segrel Ambar
Manufacturer:
Ferran Centelles
Tasting: Albariño
This is a rather complex style of Albariño. It needs time to breathe on the glass and probably will benefit from a decantation. Very good combination of stone fruit, lively acidity and stony finish. Classical Albariño style.
John Radford
Tasting: Albariño
Fresh, gooseberry- fruit. Very clean, fresh, ‘lateral’ mid-palate but it falls away at the end, ultimately dry and rather austere.
Sarah Jane Evans MW
Tasting: Albariño
Honeyed aromas, with notes of smoke, citrus, grass. Palate is full and broad, with notes of cooked yellow plums, and Bramley apples. Finish is focused less on fruit than on a salty minerality.
