Tasting: St. Emilion Grand Cru & Premier Grand Cru Classe
Dense and rather thick nose, full of dark fruits and savoury, forest-floor nuances, but lacking purity and finesse. Broad, lush, and very concentrated, with formidable tannins, oaky pungency, and a good dash of alcohol. The tannins seem rather dry now, and it’s not clear how well they will integrate, as now they dominate the palate.

Tasting: St. Emilion Grand Cru & Premier Grand Cru Classe
Rich, chocolaty nose. Layered extract. Powerful but finely worked tannins. Long, persistent finish.

Tasting: St. Emilion Grand Cru & Premier Grand Cru Classe
Fine, quite fragrant expression of black autumnal fruits. Very good fleshy fruit and fine natural tannins, acidity still quite firm, a very well structured wine, quite powerful, but not the most complex.
