Cave Saint Desirat

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Firm, spicy black fruits nose, with a hint of gaminess. Lean and taut but has sweet ripe fruit and some racy acidity and gentle oak. Not an exuberant wine but it has finesse, and a hint of coffee on the finish adds complexity. Quite long.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Youthful slightly engine-oil nose with a whisper of reduction; behind that dark fruit and epice douce. Palate is also rather raw, with a touch of greenness running through it. Drying at the end and a little foursquare. Only time will tell.
John Livingstone-Learmonth
Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Has the air of baked fruit, small black berries, a tang of liquorice with it; the palate is not an ensemble; the acidity wanders, and its fruit is a bit torrid, not quite to the extent of being scorched. Balance is not even
