Domaine Christophe Pichon
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Lean herbal red-fruits nose, quite floral and lifted. Medium-bodied, reasonably fresh, but initially rather stolid and lacking in complexity, though it has some earthiness and bite. It’s finely tuned and follows through to a positive finish, gaining nuances as it goes along. Quite good length.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Raspberry fruit on the nose, with a whiff of pepper and Indian spice. Palate is generous with sweet fruit slightly let down by a rather hard and monolithic back-palate.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Smoky bacon air, crisp black berry fruit inside the bouquet, a little floral note – an elegant combination. The fruit is tasty now, offers a sweet touch of berry jam, with some tobacco, spicing. Tannins fit in well. On the go now, a good, easy drink, pleasing.
