Le Paradis St Pierre
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Muted plummy nose, with some mocha and menthol tones, presumably from the oak. Fresh and sleek on the attack, nicely textured and lifted, an elegant style with ample concentration and drive. No heavyweight, but lively and persistent, with light tannins on the finish.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Dense colour, even the the standards of this company; nose modern, and a little ‘cooked’. The palate is more refined, although the oak does sit quite heavily and slightly shrouds the identity.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Upright, oaked nose – the black fruit is clear-cut, has a drift of meat/power around it. Technical style wine on the palate – the oak presses forward, and it’s hard to escape the feel that this is the cellar in control. Has a sweet oak finale, out on its own. There is elegance in the fruit waiting to come forward, more evident from 2015. Has sound length.
