La Dame (tank sample)
Manufacturer:
Stephen Brook
Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Plums and oak on the nose, which is reticent. Broad and supple, juicy and fleshy, an upfront style with a fairly light tannic structure. Acidity gives it some pep and lift, and this should evolve well. Good length.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Slightly oxidative on the nose, probably as it has been drawn form the tank. Palate has weight of blueberry and damson fruit, hard to judge today but seemingly not without promise, such is the sweetness at its core.
John Livingstone-Learmonth
Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Black raisin, date, encouraged ripeness on the nose, which is thick, and also reflects eastern spices, high fruit on the verge of turning – a laden bouquet. The palate kicks off on a dash of oak, with acidity present in its slightly toasted red fruit. A wine of different parts at present, not an ensemble. Needs 3 years to draw together. Prominent, big wine with a gourmand, meaty nature. Decant it, and revert in 2016 or so to get more from it, a freer expression.
