Les Goutelles
Manufacturer:

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Muted plummy nose. Rich, creamy, full-bodied, and solid, with good weight of fruit and ample concentration. Oak and acidity give a distinct spiciness, and despite the fruitiness there’s a light touch too. The finish is lively and piquant, if not especially complex.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Beyond the reduction and slightly raw note, one has to battle with pencil-shavings and the tell-tale signs of generous oak. The effort is re-payed as the core of the wine is harmonious and elegantly poised, with an attractive peppery character which buttresses the fruit with considerable aplomb.

Tasting: Saint Joseph 2010
Stewed, sweet berry airs, a full cassis aroma, in a primary state. The ripeness is pronounced, so its cassis flavour starts strongly then dwindles, reduces. The style is cellar-led, with a note of oak grain on the finish. Not sure how ensemble it is, or how well balanced it is.
