Roger Jones

Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Clean, fresh nose. Meaty, fleshy wine, the balance between clean fruit and the meaty texture is not currently quite right but i am sure will evolve into a fine wine. There are some liquorice tones on background and some stem ginger for spice.

Pierre Mansour

Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep, brick red. High-toned, cherry fruit nose, herby character too. Round, relatively intense fruit, zesty acid, dominant tannins, firm almost astringent structure.

Anthony Rose

Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Evolved in colour, not showing a great deal on the nose and already a tad salty and dried out on the palate although the acidity is good to the point of tart and bracing; which is fine except there seems to be a bit of a mid-palate hollowness perhaps due to excessive dilution.
