Majella
Manufacturer:
Roger Jones
Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Toasty brioche and cinnamon nose, which then gives way to a very masculine red blooded wine, with savoury spices and strong tannins. Quite strong after flavours of ripe fruits and the alcohol seems dominant.
Pierre Mansour
Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep. Fragrant, lifted nose, herbaceous quality, underlying black fruit. Full, generous palate, sweet fruit, cassis, tangy acidity, vibrant, grainy tannins. Well balanced. Good medium finish.
Anthony Rose
Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Good colour, lots of upfront mint and cassis on the nose, ditto on the palate with a nice juicy minted fruit quality that’s not overly complex but seems destined for roast lamb and mint sauce, even needing it to tame the relatively powerful structure.
