Chateau Langoa Barton
Manufacturer:

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Sweet delicate cassis nose, with charm rather than power, and some stylish oak. Supple on the attack, and subdued in its fruit expression, quite tannic but not hard, and somewhat one-dimensional. Well balanced and poised but lacks a little flair and dist6inction.

Tasting: Medoc crus classes 2009
Quite restrained nose but hints of ripe black fruit, fairly concentrated. On the palate the acidity remains quite prominent and the fruit a little shy. Does it have enough concentration of fruit? Graceful and refreshing but a bit short of fruit density on the palate. Medium length on the finish, and tannins just a bit too prominent.

Fine deep colour and classic black fruit/fragrance of Saint-Julien on the nose, really lovely ripeness and concentration, with more depth and complexity to come. Quite lissom fruit on the palate, but the structure and tannins are there, a fine, polished wine with a good future.
