Clemente VII

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Resiny nose, with underlying wild berry fruit. Very dry tannins, tight oak mid-palate, intense, salty juicy mountain berry finish.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Glossy, deep red with ripe black and red fruit on the nose and palate. As intensely fruity and dark as a Christmas pudding. Perfectly balanced sweet and bitterness, fruit feels fresh and cooked. Needs time with tannins a little too hard and flavours too strong. Drink in 2 years +

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Suitably restrained nose shows hints of smoke, blackcurrant jam, and an exotic whiff of incense and sandalwood. Palate is marginally less impressive with dilute fruit and a simple finish dominated by acidity and alcohol. The nose suggests that this has the stuffing to improve but the fruit seems to be shy on the day.
