Soft and sweet on the nose and the palate, very much driven by vanilla oak aromas, underlying fruit is fragile.

Lots of ripe black and red fruits on the nose, very international palate, tame and lame as is acidity, quite disgusting to drink.

Sweet ripe fruit on the nose suggests that this is an excellent example of Chianti Classico Riserva that does not rely overtly on new French oak. Palate is tight and complex with tannins and acidity in abundance to provide necessary scaffolding around the fruit. Accomplished example with plenty to celebrate and little to detract from the style.
