Montegiachi
Manufacturer:
Richard Baudains
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Beer-yeasty nose, dry tannins, mid-weight palate with dried prune finish. Slightly fragile.
Emily O'Hare
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Plummy, black fruity Chianti, generous and fruity but lacks structure.
Michael Palij
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Attractive nose with notes of menthol, toast, liquorice and vanilla. Restrained initially but actually quite hedonistic with a little time in the glass. This is a complex, brooding, extremely concentrated glass of wine with oak and fruit both in abundance. This finish is plush and unfolds convincingly with layers of black fruit and authoritative tannins and acidity
