Livernano

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Jammy-oak nose, with sweet toffee and vanilla. Ditto palate, round tannins, soft round international fruit finish. Well-made, balanced, firm fruit finish.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Pretty in pink and smells equally simple. Nice fruit, good tannins and acid, well balanced. A good drink. Well made, doesn’t offer much complexity or concentration. Sticky finish.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Deep ruby, youthful rim, lashings of new oak on the nose to the point where little else has a fighting chance. The international style of this wine renders it almost comical in this line-up. I can imagine an American billionaire standing proudly behind the table declaring on what Tuscany ought to be.
