Montemaggio

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Shading to yellow-orange. Quite volatile, gutsy rustic palate, with big alcohol, residual sugar.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Very attractive – vibrant red colour, nose is immediate, high fresh, fruity and juicy with roasted herbs. Great to drink now, tannins are encouraging, not off-putting. I’d happily drink this now with a meaty main. Hearty and heartfelt.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Exotic and complex without recourse to new oak, this sports a refined nose of crushed raspberry, mint, cranberry and nuts. Although undeniably ‘commercial’ it’s big, bold, and very satisfying with high alcohol balanced by fine acidity. Plenty going on and this kind of finish must rely on a sympathetic eye in the vineyard. Skilled winemaking in evidence.
