Tenuta di Arceno
Manufacturer:
Richard Baudains
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Slightly dirty, yeasty nose. Hot, alcoholic palate with dry tannins, clumsy, very dense, glycerine finish. Super concentrated.
Emily O'Hare
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Sunday nose – smells like a beef joint and rhubarb pudding. Palate is concentrated and firm with carefully bound fruit, tannins and acid. Serious stuff and strong at 14.5%. Alcohol does feel present. A good, broad red.
Michael Palij
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Pronounced and youthful nose with floral notes and classic Sangiovese characteristics of tomato and earth. Palate is long and concentrated with refreshing acidity keeping the high alcohol in check. Loads of fruit oozes from the finish and the integrated tannins make for a convincing wine.
