Tenuta di Lilliano
Manufacturer:
Richard Baudains
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Sweet, chocolaty oak nose, dark fruit and dry tannins. Very young and crude, but pure and grippy, with some potential.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Puce juice with delicious nose – very brambly – too black fruity for Sangiovese? Very tasty and delicious but too black – I don’t recognise this wine as Chianti, it feels Italian but not Tuscan.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Medium ruby, clean, ripe, vibrant fruit, notes of cherry, red currant and restrained use of oak. There’s an elegance here to the nose that follows on to the palate where an impressive array of ripe fruit, oak and acidity jostle for position. This is skillfully judged with lots of complexity and structure. Will age well.
