Il Tarocco
Manufacturer:
Richard Baudains
Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Coffee and plum nose, concentrated palate, fine dense tannins, quite a lot of non-Sangiovese influence, good mid-weight intensity with prospects for the future.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Hugely oaky on nose, hard to notice anything else. Very ripe rich fruit, acidity is high but overwhelmingly rich fruit.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva
Deep, brooding pigeon-blood red with an intense nose of blackcurrant and mint. This screams ‘Bodegas Internazionale’ with its notes derived from new oak and international grape varieties. It’s a big, dramatic wine designed to impress on its maiden outing. The tannins are a touch too soft, the acidity a whisker too low, and the fruit a little too ripe for it to be a convincing example of anything except alcoholic grape juice.
