La Frosca
Manufacturer:
Ian D'Agata
Tasting: Soave
Bright golden yellow. Subdued nose reveals hints of cloves and cinnamon and vanilla, and little fruit. Then sweet and peppery, with initially creamy yellow fruit and then increasingly dry, astringent mouth feel. Yet another example of Soave that though the oak is of good quality and judiciously used, is still too intrusive.
Michael Garner
Tasting: Soave
Pale lemon gold. Toffeed oak, herbs and flowers. Ripe and round with fleshy fruit flavours and lively acid. Fair length and finish.
Jane Hunt MW
Tasting: Soave
Light golden colour. Moderate waxy character and unexpectedly concentrated ripe fruit flavours which do not allow the oak to dominate. Good balance and length of flavour.
