Tasting: Soave

Pretty straw green. Delicate floral and herbal touches complicating pear and Golden Delicious apple. Rich and savoury, with a pungent pepperiness on the smooth medium to long finish. A bit more fruit concentration (not ripeness) and I would have scored this higher.

Full lemon hint of green. Broad, ripe and fresh with concentrated fruit aromas citrus and ginger. Round and full with good zippy acidity. Nice texture and creamy, gingery flavours. Fair length.

Pale gold. Mineral, slightly green herbaceous, grassy nose. Quite a lean, mineral style with very crisp acidity. Fresh but feels as if it has quite high alcohol because of a ‘hot’ finish but is only 12.5 %.
