Mietta
Manufacturer:
Andrew Jefford
Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir
Sweet, earthy, dusty; not classic Pinot, but an attractive glass of mid-weight red wine. Rather plummy fruits. Very chunky, plummy and full on the palate. Since this is one of the Geelong Pinots which has got ripeness, the kind of chunkiness and forcefulness it has acquired here suggests that it may not really be the right variety for this terroir.

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir
Soft leather, cedar nose. Rich, ripe and elegant fruit, great acidity, freshness and lingering fruit. Evolving, this is a wine great now but will get even better.
Alessandro Marchesan
Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir
Pronounced and spicy nose with minty character. Full bodied, structured and intense with massive tannic structure and long aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice and mint. Needs time.
