Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Resonant and aromatic, but a little minty. Not quite what you hope for. Lush and generous, but forceful, un-Pinot-like and generally ‘dry red’-like. The spirit of the variety has gone missing here.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Very umani on the nose. Elegant, savoury textures, mouth-feel of great intensity, violets and big flavours, some lovely smoky bacon flavour and great acidity to make this a very long living wine.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Developed and slightly oxidised with notes of farmyard and very elegant fruit. Round and juicy but almost at the peak of its enjoyment. A structured wine with developed red fruit character and a very long, juicy aftertaste.
