Les Taillepieds
Manufacturer:
Michael Schuster
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Dense and closed to smell, but a clear suggestion of ripe fruit alongside the new oak; fruit on the palate just fully ripe, with the acidity clear alongside the muscular, chewy tannic texture; more like Pommard in style, even if with a clear 1er Cru class. Good fruit length, but a tough texture dominates all.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Very deep, young colour with purple rim. Ripe, very well-concentrated black fruits on the nose, quite broad on the palate, lots of vigour and natural concentration, oak still there but blending in; a big wine, quite tannic, for the long term.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Muddy nose with blurred red and hedgerow fruits. Aggressively green and acidic on mouth entry, does not get better as the wine progresses across the palate; biting finish.
