Clos de la Bousse d'Or, Monopole
Manufacturer:

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Still quite dumb to smell; the red fruit acidity to the fore, a light, dry tannin, tasting only just ripe and with the acidity dominant on the fairly brief finish. Not bad, very much lesser 1er cru. Not much charm here.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Very deep colour for Pinot Noir and still some purple on the rim. Rich black cherry fruit on the nose, quite robust and supple, perhaps more up-front fruit now than vineyard definition, but good ripeness and depth, already quite smooth on the palate and will evolve well.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Restrained, delicate, red cherry nose. Confirmed on the palate by elegant red cherry fruit. Vibrant, rich, with some persistence, good structure and some finesse. Lacks a little fruit concentration in the middle.
