Santenots
Manufacturer:
Michael Schuster
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Dense and ripe to smell; abundant fruit within a firm Santenots texture. Ripe, spicy, complex, very firmly chewy and long term in style. Good length, but needing years!

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Deep red, some maturity on rim. Very attractive nose of ripe summer fruits, black fruits dominant, fine expression of cassis and black cherries on the palate and a touch of spice from the oak, which is well-blended in. Lots of depth and lots of fruit and a very good expression of this vineyard in the Meursault AOC, a wine with great depth and charm and a very good future.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Heavily wooded red fruit nose, thick and slightly stewed strawberry fruit. Very woody on the mid-palate, and these wood tannins tend to dominate the finish, although the fruit gives them a good run until the end.
