Caillerets
Manufacturer:
Michael Schuster
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Sweet fruit and new wood dryness to smell. Elegantly balanced red fruit-dominated wine, with a firm, youthful, dry tannin texture; long in the mouth, even if red fruit in flavour. Nice length, but still austere overall; will certainly need time.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Deep young colour with violet rim. Ripe black fruits on the nose and black cherries, blackcurrants follow through on the palate, oak still evident that makes the palate a bit four-square, but this will soften in time; rather a robust style of Volnay.
Sebastian Thomas
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Stewed, extracted fruit combined with high acidity. Medium, fairly present tannins. Unripe and very pointed acidity on the medium finish.
