Clos des Chenes
Manufacturer:

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Both ripe and woody to smell; fairly full, and with a clear ripe fruit core here within a fresh acidity and a fine, firm tannin. Generous in flavour, ripe and ample, long across the palate in a fairly extractive style, but clear 1er Cru class here and good length too. Rich, generous, slightly muscular, long in aftertaste, and will need plenty of time to mellow and harmonise. Good quality, long term.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Very deep young colour with purple rim. Black cherry and black berry fruits on the nose, slightly exotic touch from ripeness and oak, rich and broad on the palate with very good ripeness of fruit. Not quite the length expected, but very good ripeness for the mid-term.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Volatile, quite unpleasant fermentation aromas, confirmed on the palate, with hints of blackcurrant fruit. Tannins medium and quite present. Raw, lacks finesse, and wood noticeable on finish.
