Les Santenots
Manufacturer:
Michael Schuster
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Fresh and youthful to smell; solid, fruity, middleweight, finely tannic, with a savoury fruit, modest scope and good, light length. Good without being special – lesser 1er Cru style and quality. Fairly chewy.
Steven Spurrier
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Good colour, young rim. Fine blackcurrant and black cherry fruits on the nose, good supple fruit on the palate and oak well-blended in yet still present. Good florality of fruit and good length; a good wine for the coming decade.
Sebastian Thomas
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Perfumed red fruit. Smooth, elegant and restrained on palate, if a little lacking in density of fruit. Fine tannins in the background, some minerality and good length.
