Clos de la Barre, Monopole
Manufacturer:
Michael Schuster
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Lightly fragrant and with a light minerality to smell; medium full, with a light, fine tannin and a delicate, ripe red fruit flavour, subtle minerality and with both length and class to taste; fine minerally aromatic length. Volnay delicacy and charm. Very pretty wine, slight oak-dry austerity as yet, clear 1er Cru class and finesse. Complete for the vintage. Will need a few years yet.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Good deep colour, nice ripe red fruits on the nose. Fresh and clean on the palate with good weight of fruit and oak well-blended in, good definition and precision and tannins for a good future.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Nose of lifted, pretty red cherry fruit and floral notes, with some minerality. Nice fruit density – pure and with a lovely weave. Nicely delineated; bright and vibrant with good energy. Long, fruity finish; excellent.
