Gigotte, Monopole
Manufacturer:
Michael Schuster
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Slightly vegetal, slightly reduced nose; palate that is light, lightly tannic and with a brisk acidity to the limited fruit and complexity and finishes medium length; not bad, but scraping to get to 1er Cru really.

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Good depth of colour, and fine expression of fresh berry fruit on the nose. Well-defined character on the palate with ripeness and vigour, smoothness and length, a touch earthy which complements the natural ripeness and florality of fruit, fine length of flavour, quite open with a good future.
Sebastian Thomas
Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010
Cassis nose, not quite clean, a little mean. Quite extracted tannins overwhelm the rather thin fruit; slightly rasping finish. Medium length, some fruit materialises on the finish.
