Larry Cherubino
Manufacturer:
Roger Jones
Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Wild herbs and savoury spices on nose, rich chocolate/mocha on palate. Fruit seems closed or hidden behind the richness, some good tannin, this needs time to evolve.
Pierre Mansour
Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep. Grassy, stalky nose. A lean, dry & firm style, dominated by its tannins which lack fruit presence.
Anthony Rose
Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Fine dense depth of youthful ruby, intense nose of mulberry fruits tinged with herbal edges and on the palate, good concentration of cassis fruit opulence underscored by extremely succulent tannins and fine fresh savoury acidity that hints at the mineral; the balance and finesse are halfway to Europe and while the fruit is still primary, it will benefit from five to ten years ageing.
