Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
Rich oaky nose, with the wood a bit too dominant now, some dark fruits as well as red, and a hint of coffee. A bit flashy and decidedly modern in its aromatic profile. Broad and lush, rounded and fleshy, this has ample fruit, a good deal of oak, and it’s a touch heavy-handed. Nonetheless a full-bodied and assertive Vosne, with good concentration for a Village wine. The focus on super-ripeness has resulted in a slight loss of acidity, but this will probably be a crowd-pleaser. Quite long.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
fine garnet purple of medium depth;
Pinot fruit with camphor;
broad first impression, barely ripe, cherry fruit roundness, wine has balanced length, fresh finish.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010
Plump red fruit on the bouquet at first, but slightly more evolved than I would expect for colour and bouquet. A rather stewed style of wine with intrusive tannins behind.
